How to Force Max clock speeds (NVidia Cards)
Please, any good idea on how to?
Beta patch, flying over London, I noticed for the first time that the GPU clock speed changes ! Inside the cockpit, the GPU works at full speed (look at the GPU-Z information, Core, Memory and Shader clock) THIS IS PHOTO PATCHED (ver. beta 13915) 3840x resolution, move sliders to the right to see the game http://www.grathos.de/temp/CoD/CoD_3...5_London01.jpg External view, the GPU works at low speeds !!!! (look at the GPU-Z information Core, Memory and Shader clock) THIS IS PHOTO PATCHED (ver. beta 13915) 3840x resolution, move sliders to the right to see the game http://www.www.grathos.de/temp/CoD/C...5_London02.jpg ~S~ |

I found out why I was having the BIG problems with Lag. I bought a new GeForce 570 OC Vid Card, thinking man this thing is gonna SMOKE! Well imagine my dissappointment when it barely ran on stock low settings..... After a number of frustrating hours of 1 frame per 2 seconds, I came across something I hadn't seen before. The software with my new card comes with a type of throttling function used for saving power. It was set to frugal mode rather than performance mode. I flipped the switch and away she went. I've got everything maxed out now, I've flown for a few hours and she's a thing of beauty All the best to Oleg and his fine Crew 334th_Gazoo http://www.334theaglesquadron.com/ |
dose the "power management mode" in the Nvidia control panel not do that when you switch it from the default "adaptive" to "prefer maximum performance”
I use "adaptive" myself PS. how are you finding the Nvidia GTX570 in game? (not in sli) as i only have a GTX275 |

Thanks for the tip regarding the NV drivers, I will give it a try. GTX570 is great! It is the minimum card you should have for this game looks like it. Still, resoltuions are rather moderate, 1280x is a good way to fly, beyond that you are putting yourself into the dark zone... For full tests look at my lengthy post (with screenshots) at that page: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthr...=20795&page=17 ~S~ |
