I've heard that its frequency is so high only dogs can hear it.

In BoB time there was not Stuka dive sound.

Really... I thought it wasn't until 1943 before they started to remove the siren?

It was there during the battle of France and at Dunkirk. Doubt they would have removed it for the BoB.

If the sirens have been removed why are there still the little props that drives them?
The ones which are slowing the already slow stuka.
