Update question
 

Hi Guys,

Quick question - Just got the sim and installed form disc. No probs.
I have a 384kb line (really slow) only max 48 kb per sec download speed.

STEAM immediately started downloading a +/- 490mb update. Which it did. It took 2 hours to do.

THEN - it immediately started another update of 4 gb. !!!!!! Aaaargh, it will take days to download that update.

So the question is, what is that 2nd 4 gb update for?
Its the same size of the whole game !!!!

Can I ignore it?

the 4gb is the whole game lol

Does everyone have to download the whole game again in steam update.

What am I missing here, a touch confused...

unfortunatelly,yes,even if you have and use your dvd to instal the game,it will download and install the steam version after all, i know its insane especially if you have slow internet and bought the dvd because of it.

Yep you are doing the same as the rest who bought it. First version, Disc or Download install, get to Steam, another install and now today, (for me as I type this it's downloading again) another install, hopefully patching some of the probs already.
Sounds like you didn't even get to have a go of it inbetween install 2 and todays patch, hard luck.
