Game won't start

Hi,
I just bought CoD from Direct2Drive but the game does not start. I have AVG installed but after receiving a virus alert I disabled it and did an integrity verification in Steam. When I now launch the game nothing happens :( :(

I have
Win 7 64
ATI 5850
4 GB RAM

You might need to try this:

Apparently it recognizes the file : rendobj.dll as a virus.

You can add the file as an exception.
1) open AVG
2) Click on Tools along the top.
3) Select Advanced Settings
4) Select PUP Exceptions
5) Add rendobj.dll (found in the game folder)
6) click apply then ok
7) Launch CoD

If it has already caused the probelm from a Steam download:
1)Right click on COD and go to properties.

2) Goto to the local files Tab

3) Click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Let steam find the missing file and download them again. (But make sure you have AVG deactivated, or made an exception for the file first.

ok adding the exception helped. Now the game is "working".
