How about a sticky for recommended settings?

I've been drooling after reading the forums and watching many user made vids, eagerly awaiting our April release for the west. But I've noticed many users unable to make the sim very playable while many others are toting around with 40FPS.

I think it would be a good idea to have a sticky showing the recommended config/graphics settings to get a decent performance for those new to the game.

For example "turn the epi filter off, AA =, trees = ",etc. It would probably do a bit of good if those running the game smoothly could share your config, graphics settings, or any other changes you made (PC affinity / video card setup etc.)

Anyone getting good performance care to share exactly what you did and your config setup?

+1

Also, posting your conf.ini wouldn't be a bad idea. Along with your system specifications.

S!

Combine that with a wish to devs..Release some detailed documentation what the myriad of conf.ini settings mean and how they affect performance etc. I found it far easier to tweak IL-2 thru conf.ini rather than the setup program.

I can understand where this would be good, but seing the difference in performance on pretty much equal rigs, I am thinking it would be better to find optimal settings by yourself.
When you get the version that you understand (yes I have the russian aswell as the pre-ordered) it will be much easier.

Posting .INI codes/lines that optimizes things that is not in the .INI from default however would be a great idea to post up.

I guess you guys should wait to see the results after the patch.Once the fps get somewhat even, it would be easier to compare.

We will do it after the patch and first tests.

Even though we have different set-ups, maybe at some point the development team can give some hints, depending on your individual bottleneck.

ie:
if your CPU is your bottleneck reduce setting xxx
if your GPU "
if your memory "
