Steam Preloading???
 

Normally when i bought game via Steam, preloading start days before than game activation starts, not so in IL2 case i see, so looks bad when activation start, i just can the start the download.

I'll go out here on a limb and surmise that the reason Steam is not allowing pre-download right now, is because there are going to be patches released between the time of the Russian release and the U.S. release. It would be a waste of bandwidth.

Yeah luthier said he hopes the patch with the epilepsy filter being optional will be on the steam servers by tommorow.

edit: just wait untill midnight tommorow and it should unlock knowing steam. Activate download. Go to sleep. Get up. Call in sick. ROCK AND ROLL!!!

Yep i know this, but usually contains what came with CD version is allways preloaded at steam, and Luthiers says in Russian forum that it's not a big file,
those who has been bought CD has installed and dowloaded the 0-day 500mb patch allready
