night and rainy.

Has anyone managed to land their plane in a cta when its at night and rainy on cta? You know, the mode where you're 100% blind under the clouds.

One thing that's a shame is the real lack of instruments. I mean, sure you can find the runway on radar an more or less line up with it, but the thing's never at 0ft. So i crash.

So just wondering - any hints for landing completely by instruments on arcade/realistic or even sim? I think it'd be quite useful vs guys who insist on using an il 10 or bomber - theyd crash before they can strafe me properly.

drop a bomb or rocket or crash once on the field to give you a reference. the flaming wreck ought to give you a good visual.

I've witnessed Davedog land his Spitfire blind on Tempelhof. Instruments only in realistic mode/CTA. It's by far the most impressing I've ever seen anyone do in BoP.

Davedog is awsome in his Spit. He has even landed it, in realistic, at the roof at Tempelhof.
I have tried and failed a million times at that.

I havent tried to land at night in rain, have to give at go tonight......

I can land on templehof, outside the reichstag and the brandenburg gate, but only in a Po-2 in sim. The stall seems much more forgiving. Never tried a spitfire though, must be tough...
