What kind of addons are we likely to see, and how many?

My guess is the first one will contain
-A new faction (Sea based race?)
-Expansion of the Previous ones
-A new hero class (Assasin: Works as a reverse Knight, powering down enemies)
-New campaign
-Multiplayer
-Map Editor

All these things are planned to be included in the first addon. Just the multiplayer will be included in the second one.

Also, will any of the releases (orignial, silver/gold/platinum, special/bonus version) come with the orginal KB?

Wait a second... no Map Editor for the first expansion? That's not good... :?

Read again Evgeny's post: Map Editor will be there in the 1st expansion. It's the multiplayer that'll have to wait a bit longer. ;)

yeah already planing 2 add ons is nice news it surely means dev will work hard and well on this game im sure it will be great :P

I actually don't care about expansions right now. What I do care about is a demo. Or atleast some solid lineups.
