CoD System Requirments

I hope this is a pertinent question and not completely unnecessary.

I have seen the recommended requirements but I was wondering what type of systems any of the devs or people who have had hands on time with the game are using?

The recommended settings are only really useful as a baseline. Without some sort of FPS to associate to different system setups its a bit hard to determine what is indeed an adequate system depending on your video settings preferences.

Thanks

As a "poor college student" I cannot say I will be able to upgrade my computer once the game comes out. I have the money to do so now and I'd simply like an idea of what kind of performance can be expected of the game.

I'd think this would be something many people would like to know after seeing how many people were worried that this game might not even run on their systems.

System specs are already posted around here somwhere, but the main things are the following: 4 GB memory, quad core of at least 2.6 ghz, and a video card that is directx 10 compatible. A system like that should get you through at decent settings and at decent frame rate. There is however no way to be sure at the moment, and the specs I posted are somewhere between the recommended and minimum. We've been told many times that a current mid-range PC should be able to run.

Your best bet is to simply wait an extra week or so for reviews once the game is officially released. There will be posts from players with minimum spec machines. Luckily I have a friend with an identical spec machine and he has pre-ordered the collectors edition so will be able to see how it performs first hand and then decide to go ahead or wait untill I have upgraded later in the year. Meanwhile I am more than happy with 4.101 and my mod versions - no rush for me to get CoD.
