I dont appear in the battles. (newb q)
 

It was ok while I was doing the 3 intro quests, but now I'm outside I don't appear in my own battles. All I have to fight with is my soldiers.
Is this how it is supposed to be? How can I join the battle myself if it's possible?

Your hero can't participate in battles , like a normal unit .
You can only use it for spell casting. ( Heroes of might and magic style.)
He can also be used to call the rage spirits in battles.

Don't know what you thought was "you", but they just temporarily give you two stacks of powerful units in the tutorial missions (Knights and Horsemen)... your hero was never on the battlefield...
