The Battle of Britain Server, Hello Americans
This server is deserted every day at 2400pm GMT - in fact I think it's one of better servers.
Now I wonder: Why the heck don't any Americans join in? - Is the ping that bad? - Closed pit? - no P51? |
I only fly closed cockpit.
I rarely fly the P51. (Please note my signature photo...) Never saw the server on the list, but then I never went looking for it either. 2400 GMT is dinner time in the Eastern US. What does this server have to place it above my regular haunts? I usually fly on Spits vs. 109s (stock 4.10) or host for my group of friends. Full switch? What map? Stock or modded? |
Ah, now I see why you won't find me there.
It uses a mod pack that I won't touch. Sorry old boy. |
Same here.
Besides we'll soon get more than enough of battle of britain. ;) |

and its always the same map (at least the last time i was active on it)...... only the planeset differs. and are there missions with good weather ?????
for me WoP servers are superiour, moded and stock 4.10 ! |
I like to fly BOB on Saturdays and usually have a solid ping of 150ms from the US, but after 5pm local it's a ghost town.:(
Great server. |

Also, at no other server I was able to join a game with 90+ players as that "D-day special". Average server population is quite good - many squads (+CRT2). té mais tityus |
Although this OT:
The reason many blue pilots try to avoid Spit vs 109 is the "balanced" planeset. 43 FW vs '44 P-51, and such stuff. At least it's obvious who's meant by "prey". ;) |
I personally do not like the later plane sets 44' and 45' on WoP for the same reason, when you're low you're food for the spitfire, and when you're high there's the P47 and P51 fighting for every single screw on your plane.
That doesn't stop me from flying bomber sorties though, often the Arado Blitz bomber is available and you can perform some serious bombing raids with that magnificent plane:) |
All times are GMT. The time now is 01:05 PM. |
