MP Playability Question

I have two PC's connected to the same router. Anyone know if MP is doable with this set-up?

Wanting to purchase now, but only want it to play MP with my son.

If the two PC are connected in the same LAN, yes; you have the direct-ip matchs

Be sure the two PC see each other in the internal lan and not port is blocked by the router and the game see as primary the internal IP of PCs
