Wheel Spats For I-15bis?
Referenced in this thread at UBI...
http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=t...009#6831025009 Is there a way to have them all the time? Also I tried the skin and file that Viikate links and it did not work at all. |
Four independent tests so far and all worked ok.

It's a straight install.
No idea what's up. After talking with more of my online friends I am finding there are lots of small and large, niggling issues with 4.10 installs. I'm really beginning to suspect there are a lot of bad mirrors/torrents out there. Those spats sure are nice looking. |
"This file is used for customizing some minor features of the plane by binding them to certain BMP skin.
To enable some feature, put the skin's checksum under certain tag. To find out the checksum, clear skin cache at PaintSchemes\Cache, start the game, load skin and alt-tab back to Windows. Now cache folder has a new folder named with long series of numbers. This is the checksum." This tip worked for me. I use Mat Manager, so I renamed the Cache folder temporarily and made a new, empty one. Once I'd got the checksum folder and it's numbered title, I reverted to my old cache folder, put the checksum file inside and added its number to the Customization.ini http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/d...V/grab0000.jpg |
So far it only works in the QMB, on the Smolensk map, with Russia selected as the country, markings turned off.
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/2839/spats.jpg Never works in multiplayer, and no one I fly with has ever seen an I-15 with spats at any time. |
It's odd. I can get it to work every time in the QMB, but not on a multiplayer map, even though I retrieved the check sum number from that very same map.

Thanks for clearing this up!
Too bad we cannot have the spatted I-15 as another version, it really makes the thing look good. |
