english voice packs for 1946

Hi im new to this forum and i have been looking anywhere for an answer.

anyways, does anyone know if there are english voiceovers for german, russian, japanese voices? it would be nice to be playing luftwaffe and know what they are saying in english, instead of looking up and trying to read the messages while you fly..

any help would be much appreciated,

thx jmack

I always thought they were meant for developing my language skills! Ich bin ein dummkopf.

copy and paste the voice recordings in the GB (I think) into the other non English folders.

Hope that helps.

I believe it's a simple matter of copying the language files from the GB or US folder and pasting them in the other folders, replacing them. I would change the name of the language folder, for example RU to RU-, and make a duplicate of the US folder, and then rename it to RU. This way it's a non-destructive modification.

The sounds are in (root folder of the game)\samples\speech

awsome, that did the trick.

thank you so much!

Alternative GB 'Chatterpacks' are available but the language of the pilots in some situations can be somewhat, erm, 'colourful' (not quite your Oxbridge graduate pilot) - my favourite being..........."and remember...........never fly straight and level in a combat zone for more than thirty seconds.................the bastards will get you!"?

For accented english you might want to try the BBQ packs at M4T

You might need to register to follow the link, but the site is a Mecca for Il-2 downloads.
