I mean, that was a JET, but the fire looks like someone is just burning a pile of trash.

well maybe the cold got something to do with it, crashes are always very irregular in ways on how the plane explodes. What I mean is there´s maybe a thousands factors which makes the plane burst into flames or not. I hope we see such irregularity in SoW as well. There is already such thing in RoF, were planes irregularly explode when hitting the floor, makes it realistic, in my opinion, especially for WW1 birds.

But I do believe that WW2 planes almost always burst in to flames when hitting the ground vertically, just the amount of flames would be different.

Its a bit distasteful to post something like this.

Its obvious that the aircraft came down close to a vertical attitude that's why it looks more like a bonfire.
