HOTAS and trim dilemma

HOTAS and trim dilemma

I’ve read carefully two recent threads about hotas sets, and came to the conclusion that Ch fighter stick, Ch pedals and throttles are probably the best choice for my tastes. The only thing I don’t like in Ch thottle is (if I’m not mistaken) the absence of rotary controls for trimming. I’ve tried them on Saitek X52, and I was really impressed (while the stick itself impressed me much less). However, I’ve found on sale a complete X52 (throttle + stick) costing less than the Ch throttle alone.
Has anyone actually used a Saitek throttle alongside a Ch fighter stick?
Talking of pedals now, should I expect the same quality difference between Saitek and Ch pedals, as is the case of sticks? The difference in price is noticeable, but not decisive.
Thank you all, guys!

Why not turn the x52 stick into a button bay? Some people prefer the saitek pedals as they are a bit wider and more comfortable.

Awesome, I have a spare x52, is there a guide available for this mod?

Hey Furio,
You can also think of getting a CH Fighterstick and use the throttle of a Saitek (i.e. X52) ;)

There are a couple of vids on youtube on taking the stick apart. also a couple of pictures on this thread.http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...5271012437/p/8
Take photos of the circuit boards (I didnt and then panicked about which way the multi pin plug went) The main problem is that it is hard to get the wireing out of the steel tube on the stick. The steel pin will push out but a plastic part needs to be split length ways and this means that you cant put it back as it was :) Good luck.
