Apache, do you want it?

I Thought it would be good to get an idea on how many people from this forum will be getting Apache air assault when it comes out.

Are you really looking forward to it or are you more interested in the new call of duty title release?

Never had a real interest in flying 'Choppers' even when included in PC Flight Sims so cast a 'will wait and see' vote just in case the feedback is positive and more importantly, it don't need 'patching'!..........

Whats the chances that the Russian Gunships out class all the others in thegame....(only Kidding!) .

Games like COD and MW are never going to be on my shopping list - bore me rigid!

Have it on pre order, i trust gaijen to do a good job and i must say thus far it looks good!! Im just glad the pricks at 505 are not the publishers. Maybe now gaijen will get some credit now that theyve gone with a respectable publisher rather than the complete twats at 505 ;)

I wouldn't hold your breath FOZ, there were no publishers for Wing of Prey and it was abandoned by Gaijin. Nah, I will definitely wait and see.....

I thought it was published by activision :D Pretty sure it is..... and they are pretty damn respectable.

Yup just double checked... Apache Air Assault is indeed published by activision :D which in my eyes in much much better than the knob jockeys at 505!!

I'm a tight wad so I will read the reviews.. then go and get it. Regardless of what they say! It would basically have to be broken for me not to get it. I like BoP and it's the same guys so I'm expecting it to be at least - ok.

505's handling of BoP was rubbish and I'll chalk that up to experience, if that happens again I won't buy another Gaijin product, but Activision are big enough to make this work.

Well they certainly have the spare cash to buy a couple of hundred updates lol. I also think the fact that Apache Air Assault is an Activision owned series means they will want it to be as good as possible and will want to pay for any patches that are needed and DLC to maintain interest. 505 don't own any series, they only buy from the developers and publish individual games.

I've got the game on Pre-order and i'm going to start reading Ed Macy's Apache book when Ive finished my current one.

I might even do a review of the game for the forum if I have time.

I have the WoP retail disc right here, someone published it.

Apache is published by Activision Minneapolis, who handle budget titles.

I'm still on the fence with this one and will probably wait and see what you guys think about it before I shell out my cash. Anything involving the Apache hits me very close to home. My best friend was killed while flying an AH-64 near Mosul, Iraq, and Seeing Apaches crash in full HD graphics is rather painful to say the least. But on the other hand, if the game really is good, it might be fun to fly a helo again with my ol' buddy as co-pilot. I'll wait and see.

Attached is a photo of my buddy Pat showing his little girl around the office.

Absolutely not. If it was titled Ka-50 Blackshark or Mi-24 Hind, then yes.
