Organized threads?

So I noticed that there are over 100 pages of threads, and maybe we could get this organized? The game has a few years to go, so I think it would be a good thing.

How do you mean? They are organised in order of last post date. How else could they be sorted? I don't think the forum software is capable of organising the threads any other way.

I mean by adding sub catagories. Technical Issues, Tips and Tricks, Updates, etc.

that you would have to take up with someone who has admin privilages. even mods can only move so much.

There are plenty of helpful stickies for general help some being, control setups, first time flying, etc, etc. What do you not like about the way they are listed?

Two of which have a sticky.

True, but one little folder with all you need about one topic makes it easy to go through year old material.

Let me know what you want organized. I will see what I can do.

Korsakov829 10-18-2010 02:13 PM

Well I don't know, just sub catagories for differant topics. I just thought it would be easier, so we don't have to go through a hundred pages making sure we are not re posting something previously discussed. No offense but we got half a page of stickies as is.

Robotic Pope 10-18-2010 07:11 PM

ah ok I see what you mean now. Sub-forums like the Il-2 1946 movies forum. Usually on a well set out forum these are made before any of the posts exist. Creating sub forums and moving all previous posts into the right sub-forum would take a significant amount of an administrators time, and when we already have the search to find previous threads of your interest it isn't really worth it unfortunatly.

Korsakov829 10-18-2010 07:34 PM

You just wait, in a few years this thread will be on page 450 or so. And everytime I hear you say the search function lags your PC I'll remember this and have a good laugh.
