Kings bounty: The Legend Crashing

The game crashes all the time and this is the error I am getting.
./bmrender/rmode.cpp(5441):directx call failed: -1,-1, e-fail

I am running window 7
Geforce 9800 gt

Can anyone help me out with this problem

Windows 7, not really the best choice since not many games work on it.
Since DirectX is mentioned, update it to the latest version. If that doesn't work, it might be Windows 7 if it has always crashed on you.
