Just bought Wings of Prey
 

I couldn't take it any longer, just to tide me over till SOW finally ships.

I know it's sim-lite, but it's very pretty and if SOW ends up looking this good (or better), with all the extras. Ooohh, so excited.

you should have tried the demo first! i didn't like it and got bored right away, looks like the missions are scripted, i don't know it just didn't feel right, i even think that damage system is the same for all air crafts but again who am i to judge :roll: to each his own.

I did try the demo. I don't really care what the missions entail yet, I just like the flying about dogfighting.

It's really just for a quick fix to ease the wait for SOW.

Just out of interest, on Sim settings the FM feels ok to me (I'm no expert), how does it compare to IL2 as I think it's based on it?

What you should/could have done was to buy IL2 1946 instead maybe.

Then apply the patches to bring it up to current version v4.09m

Then download and install UP v2.01 mod pack

You will have many more objects aircraft and most importantly more maps.

i also got bored; very quickly with wop. I do agree tho if SoW looks as good with everything else its packing... i'll be a very happy man.;)

FSX would be a far better choice. You could actually gain useful experience besides admiring pretty scenery.

Alpha, you're the first person I've seen in Il-2 who's actually requested for a landing :o Unless you were taking the piss :D

I bought it online, downloaded it, installed it, and removed it on the same day.

Actually offline I usually do. If you request a landing it seems like the ATC warn off the AI once you are on finals. Certainly does no harm to do it.
