IL2 Mods
 

Guys,

I have dabbled a bit with various flight sims but have finally committed, bought myself a decent stick and trackir and am trying to lean to fly in IL2 FB and have some fun before the awesomeness of SOW. So, to that end can someone point me in the right direction for some IL2 FB mods/patches and more importantly which order the patches run in and which mods are regarded as being 'universal'?

The mods are actually hacks and discussion (IIRC) is prohibited here. I use the mods, and I would think most who post here do, but I am not sure we can give you a link to any mods.

What version of Il-2 do you have? As you need Il-2 1946 to be able to install any mods.

Sorry wasn't aware of that. Its ok I think I have found what I was looking for on another website.

Nethertheless its not a bad hint to stick with the stock game for the moment. Its content is large enough to give you fun for months.

Correct patching is: 4.07m ('46 stock game) -> 4.08m -> 4.09m

Implied, that you speak of '46... not IL-2FB only.
