Make it a cert 15 and add more gore

Isn't it time for flight sims to grow up and add more pilot damage effects etc?
Some swearing in russian or german as the pilot lands gear up would be funny.Blood on the canopy or shouts ect?
Why is the il2 series and sow aimed at kids with ages 7+ on the box? why not cert 15 or 18?.:-P

Because the parents of 7+ year old kids have money to spend.

also it's a sim not anarcade game it focouses on a rather sensatve subject (ww2)if you want a game with gore whay not go for an FPS i don't really wan't or need gore in my simsi get somuch joy from pusing the aircraft to it's limitthat i think gore would ditract from the sim and give the game a tacky arday feel

Fare point but I think the biggest selling game of all time was modern warfare 2 which is a cert 15 I think, perhaps someone will make a third party combat realism pack…..:-P

What purpose does adding blood and guts serve? Most of us here and other sim sites are more interested in the history, the a/c themselves and flying. Like others said if you like shooting people play a FPS game.

Sorry but I fail to see how adding real world realism to a sim detracts from the game.:-P

Don't worry, someone will make a mod for that, I'm sure.

+1 as an option, but not to limit the age-rating. A simple parental control to switch it on, maybe password protected, would be the way to go. Or just as a change in the conf.ini (if there is one). I doubt a 7 year old knows what a conf.ini is :D

But this discussion may be pointless, as hasn't Oleg said something about him not wanting SoW to be a gore fest...
