Which is better (armor piece)

Which is better, an armor piece that grants +3 defense, or one that grants +2 defense and has 10% physical damage resist?

Go with the 10% physical damage resistance. That is a much better choice

The physical resist. Look at the manual and see how defense scales to damage reduction. Then you will see why.
