Can you Trade?

I been trying to figure out how to Trade for Profit, but it seems it only consists of killing pirates and selling their gear and turning them in.

I couldn't find commodities to trade for. Ship equipment on rough glance are the same price everywhere.

Did I miss anything?

Unfortunately, nope, there's no trading.
