You didn't ask to be informed of anything, only if it existed and what opinion I have.

Oh well I suppose this tid bit of info will "inform"

There was a old film made about a Small squadron of IL2 T pilots that were based near the edge of a huge lake/river/sea.

I cant remember the title but it was based around real IL2 T pilots and the hardship of the winter at their base.

I've once read in a forum from a Russian military history expert that Il-2T had never entered production nor been used. The torpedo is too heavy for it. No verification, just information.
And KG26_alpha, the film you said about is probably the old Soviet film "torpedo bomber" (quite a good film IMHO), but the aircrafts are Il-4T, not Il-2.

Well the dispute is did the The Navy use them, not a production aircraft but a converted variant with canon removed.

For me .......... yes I would like it to have existed.

Also

Re: the film, I'm sure it was a IL2-T Naval squadron based at a coastal airfield but it was 30 years ago I saw it so I will stand corrected :)

This link is the same as the OP's but in translated form.
