Problem: unable to leave city
 

I have a problem leaving a city or resting. 2 of my guys need rest and 1 is totally refreshed. Everytime I go to rest it says unit is ready. If I try to move away from the city it says " warlock is too exausted to move" and crashes.

Is there a work around for this?

This is what you should do.
Enter your Journal and go to the Unit tab. Under the tired mercs' picture there is a button called "Talk". Tell both the tired mercs to wait for you there and they will leave your team. Enter the Global map and speed up time a few hours. Then go back to the Tactical map and talk to the mercs, tell them to join you again.
