Team Daidalos help request - Re.2000!
Hello guys!
We need some help with clarifiying follwing gauges on the reggianes Re.2000 instrument panel: http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5899/re2000gauges.jpg Description is taken from an italian source but its not hard to guess, what these gauges are. But we need better pictures, photographs, drawings, whatever of them. 1. gyro-compass 2. compressor/compression 3. RPM 4. additional anemometer (?) 5. compressed air and brakes (?) If you have any information regarding this (as well as maybe build in in other italian planes), please write to daidalos.team@googlemail.com or answer here. Thanks in advance! Caspar Team Daidalos P.S.: Mods: maybe you can make this a sticky for a little while please? Thanks! http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/image.p...ine=1250462603 |
Now that was quite fast, Mods (don't know who was it). Thanks alot! :-)

Hi,
The Library of the University of Reggio Emilia keeps a digital archive of the OMI-Reggiane. You can find here a list of the available technical docs and pictures in Excel format (under "Sezione Aeronautica", i.e. aeronautical section), and the emails of the gentlemen to contact: http://www.biblioreggio.unimore.it/o...-Reggiane.html In the Excel file, you may want to sort for "Strumenti" (Instruments) under the column "Soggetto" (Subject). Hope that helps, Regards, Insuber |
In addition, the following forum maintained by Reggiane passionated fans provides a lot of pictures and drawings:

I don't speak Italian, but i'll take a couple of guesses.
Manometer=pressure gauge, so 5 is probably the brake hydraylic pressure gauge. Also, 4 (anemometro supplementare) is probably a backup airspeed indicator. In Greek anemometro=wind meter. What kind of wind does one usually measure in an airplane? Well, the relative one to the motion of the aircraft of course-->airpseed. If you take a good look at it, it looks quite similar to the IAS gauges found in the macchi fighters despite the photo being blurry. Finally, 2 (manometro compressore) probably translates to compressor pressure gauge. I just don't know what kind of compressor it refers to. Could it be a manifold pressure gauge? Cheers ;) |
They only pic i could find after a quick search

Hope this haelps all i could find

Alright. Thanks!
2,3,4 are identified and clear now. Most suspiscious is still Nr.5 (dual gauge?) and Nr.1 ... |
Spanish and Italian languges are very similars...
1) it´s sure a gyrocompas 5) it´s a brake´s pressure gauge (one for left wheel , another for the right one, that´s because it is dual) |

Hi
This is better but not perfect - at least they are better images (although somewhat fuzzy in most cases of the instruments). http://www.webalice.it/hiropao/lang1/instruments.html Maybe they can help with better references? Cheers Andrew |
