Alternative Perfectly Working scoring System on Xbox 360

Here is the Scenario: your in a team battle, you spot an enemy, he throws all the evasive maneuvers he can, you chase him low over the countryside for what seems like ages, you finally get a split second where he is in your sights, you pull the trigger, he goes into a spin and hits the ground, but you get no credit, you rip out your disk and head towards the local trade in store...

Well, thanks to a little discovery I made yesterday that is no more.. squirrel and I were doing some boosting yesterday for the He-111H-3 in Strike, with a twist, we did 3 minute 1 on 1 dogfights in the Bf-109E-3, I noticed that every time we killed each other even if we didn't get the kill, the other team still lost a point (This also is good for my rule that you shouldn't be awarded a kill if you crash getting and it stops people from getting competitive and saying I got the most kills on our team and getting all competitive) I told squirrel he said it was brilliant and then Evangelus and he told me to put it on the forum (Here I am now) a Team Battle is a Team effort. Other perks of using strike for team battle is that you both start over your own base and have to fly to the battlefield, rather than being spawned all over the map, you start in formation at the start and is much better for Axis vs. Allies battles. Note: This only works if everyone in your game knows that your not supposed to bomb each others targets.

So Please test this out and give me some feedback on what you think, Also, is it a good Idea to get this made sticky so new players and passers by can see this, along with people who only occasionally visit the forum?
Thanks,

Jack

I have mentioned that you suggested this in another thread Jack, we tried it last night but read the thread for my and others views. Apparantly, it was used last year for the PS3 Tournaments....have a read....looks like 'great minds thinking alike' anyway you still get an A* from me, as no one on Xbox was aware of it.

TRK 29 do you want to merge these two threads together?

I think it is a lot better than a plain old Team Battle. Had fun last night trying it out with Evangelus and the others. Another thing to add is that you can have battles at much higher altitude because once you have shot a plane into an unrecoverable spin you don't have to follow it down, trying not to overshoot while firing desparatly for the "Kill shot". We had a couple of battles with heavy cloud cover (rain) that were fought almost entirly above the clouds.
And as the amount of actual kills you get awarded counts for nothing you find yourself not caring at all about your personel score and thinking much more for the team. This really is how Team Battle should have been.

I'm kind of supprised the guys in the PS3 tourneys that edal set up didn't speak of this outside of their threads. Ive never read them so I never knew about the idea.

The only problem with this is if you have a random join you without a mic (or non english speaker) that jumps into a bomber/figher bomber and refuses to get out. Thankfully this hasn't happened to us yet and our random no mics have figured it out pretty fast.

I wonder if the same thing would work with CTA set up with to air fields?
