Performance Issue

Hi, I just upgraded my graphics from an 8600gt to a HD 4890, and have experienced extreme framerate decreases in game. Whenever I view a moderate amount of units at once, the game framerate quickly drops down to around 5-15 fps.

Strangely, there is hardly any framerate difference in-game between high and low settings.

I have updated to the latest graphics drivers and this has not made any difference.

Specs:
xfx ati hd 4890
3 gigs ram
athlon 64 x2 5600+
vista 32

Get the best graphics card on the legal market. Should fix more then you can ever imagine.

Its not the PSU, i just bought a brand new 650w corsair... also this video card should be more than enough to handle this game, especially since my old 8600 could do so just fine.

y hardware isnt the problem. the MoW GEM-engine have massive problems with current GPU's.

known GEM-engine bug:
- 25 Fps lock
- drop down to 5 Fps without any reason
- massive differences between Fps after zoom in & out ingame
- ...

this bugs will be never solved, because this need a completely reworked/coded GEM-engine. :(

Well this sucks.. I guess Ill have to pop my old card in every time I want to play MoW, or go back to playing CoH (which runs great) :(

Thanks for the info
