mp dotrange
I have used flying nutcase's tutorial in utilizing the mp dotrange command. It works fine offline, but if I host online it doesn't work. I am using 4.09. Any ideas?

I've been using custom icons online for years. They work exactly the same as offline.
Remember that you must be the HOST if you want your particulr icon settings to work online. Aviar |
I have used the mp dotrange in the past too for many years. It is just now that I cannot make them work online. That is why I am asking in here if there has been some change with the 4.09. The only thing different is I have installed UP 2.0 but did NOT activate it. I am still flying with 4.09 and the shortcut command I use offline will not work online. In game settings are full real with speed bar only.
Here is a copy of my rcu file. @set fast off @set echo on @set alias on @set history 20 @alias a alias @a h history @a s show @a if mp_dotrange FRIENDLY TYPE 2 ID .5 RANGE 2 COLOR 3 DOT 10 @a ie mp_dotrange FOE TYPE 1.5 ID .5 RANGE 2 COLOR .005 DOT 10 Can someone please tell me why this works offline but not when I host onliine? |
Do you have changed your difficulty settings in online game?

I just tried your icon settings both offline and online and they work fine. I'm sure it's something simple that you are overlooking.

EDIT: Oh, just read the tutorial, never mind. |
RE the ie
Its just an aliased keyboard command for the RCU file. Here's a couple you can use for User stats and FPS. You only need to enter the bold type in the console. @a us user STAT @a on fps START SHOW @a off fps STOP HIDE @a t1 mp_dotrange FRIENDLY DOT 15 COLOR 0.75 TYPE 0.5 ID 0.5 NAME 1.5 @a t2 mp_dotrange FOE DOT 15 COLOR 0.75 TYPE 1.0 ID 0.5 NAME 0.50 Edit > some fast editing going on lol |

EDIT: Oops...note to self, look before you ask...found that as well on Airwarfare, here's the link if anyone's interested. |
Does someone know why the range at which dots appear in my server is shorter than other server whereas the dot range settings are both 25 km?
