who tried to take me on in Arcade mode over the last few days; Nice try, but no cigar.

Seriously though, since christmas there has been a definate up surge in online play for 360. Its nice to get plenty of online play now to satisfy. Plus the bonus for me is that I pretty much went to town on everyone I played against. So much so that I have had a few player make note of me joining a game now on arcade and usually say something to the effect of "We're going to get hammered by Lexandro".

Not tooting my own horn, but I have had a few games where I just know some pilots are sitting there hating my guts while wishing they could fly & fight like me. I've even had one or two choice messages from those of the moronic persuasion, calling me a cheat or hacker. To be fair though racking up a 15-1 kill ratio when playing a 3vs1 game (me solo) does suggest something fishy. However I NEVER EVER cheat when it comes to playing vs a human, I'm simply not that kind of person.

Of course I have been beaten also but it has been extremely rare, iirc 3 games since xmas I've been beaten on Arcade dogfight or team battle. So if your one of those chaps who's flown against me and actually beat me, then I salute you. And to the rest, persevere! I am only human, so you need to punish my mistakes hard.

hey man i'd like to play with you sometime, my gamertag is the same as my username. I dont play on arcade mode though, not enough damage to affect targets and too much speed to turn.

:rolleyes:+1. I did exactly the same thing; thinking I was gonna read some respect & dedication to real life pilots of yesteryear, & end up reading about some 'Prince of Stabilizers' (arcade mode).

So you're good!! Big deal. Better than most!! Big deal. I'm also bloody brilliant at F1 World Championship (N64) with every aid on but after crossing the line 1st I can't help feeling that it just felt like a scalextric car race with hyper-super handling. I had the safety net knowing that nothing was gonna go wrong if I went off or hit anyone & the wins felt very very empty until I moved up, turned off the aids, dropped down to manual shift. Hey sure, I hardly win anymore but, man, the feeling of achievement that's bestowed on you when you make the podium atleast. Catch my drift?
BTW; that was years back. I grew up long ago!!!

I thought arcade was for the newbies? Have you considered unlocking the next level and moving up! It's called Realistic (just in case you weren't aware) and then, there is 'Simulator'. (If you are looking for a more challenging experience that is.) Us regulars will look out for you when you get to Sim level as will the Realistic peeps. Let us know how you get on.........pretty sure you will!
