Help needed urgently with my TM Hotas ! !

I got my Thrustmaster Hotas as a X-mas gift.

After battling the kids for some time at the PS3 I finaley hooked it up for some quality flying but what the HØLL :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil:

The stick doesnt work out right
All functions is ok BUT the 4 axis stick. I can only dive and climb. The bank left/right function doesnt work :-x

I have tried to set another preset but it doesnt take input left/right axis.
Tried several attempts to switch on/off console, checking ps3 setting on the Hotas, changing port at the console but still nothing.

Has anyone experienced the same ? Is it something I am overlooking or is it, as I assume, mail functioning due to fabrication failure ?

make sure you don't have a gamepad swithced on when you plug it in. It has to be controller 1. only thing i can think of.

Also check the switch is set to PS3 not PC..

but you can shoot, dive, climb etc ok? i have had a problem where the stick's axis's wouldn't work but the buttons did. I just turned off all controllers (unpluged the TM) waited about 1 min and just plugged the TM back in.

Yes this is the problem.
The weird thing is that after leaving it plugged in for some 30 minutes it seemed to be ok. Played some training missions to get familiar with it when suddenly left X-axis seemed to be less functioning.
Today the problem persist, The X-axis first only functioned to the right and not to the left. Unplugged it and waited some while before plugging it back in. NO X-axis functioning after that

That is strange.. have you tried the thrustmaster web site?

Yes I tried the homepage but no help there.
After several attempts to set presets and reset to default set, up its clear that the stick doesnt respond on the X-axis switches.
I have therefore returned the damn thing in hope to soon get another one that works.

It must be the stick as i cant think of anything that would do that to it.. Its a really good stick once you get it working.

How do you drop bombs with the Hotas?

So finally my replacement TM hotas has arrived.
Plugged it in and it worked perfectly :-P

This means the first one was not OK and I had to wait one month and double the costs of my purchase

Now its back to playing the games campaign and single missions in realistic and simulator with the new TM Hotas.
