Question regarding the overland scrolls.
 

Are the effects of the overland scrolls permanent? Or do they only last for a few fights? If so they are very expensive for 1 or 2 fights.

Yeah, you're not really supposed to use them every fight, but sparingly against bosses or guardians of navigational charts.

Thanks. A vendor sells a 20% increase in leadership for 35k! For a 1 shot spell, that's real expensive.

That particular scroll is bloody useless, as it doesn't actually GIVE you the extra units and then what are you supposed to do with the surplus after the fight? I wouldn't buy any Wanderers scrolls - plenty of free ones along the way.

I though so too. But I do need to travel all over to bring in more troops if I wanted to use it.

Every wanderers' scroll has its use. I thought this one is useless for a long time, until I realized what wicked use it has in boss battles. 20% more troops in boss battles (especially against Zilgadis, Ktahu and Baal) is a blessing. Elwin also seems to agree with that :)

+50% XP are good if you do series of castle sieges + boss battles + hero battles. This way you will gain the most of them.

No! No! No! They're excellent! They are like gold at higher levels.Wait until your plus 1000 leadership item (or 2500 in the Ogre set) goes out of control! Use it for the suppression fight and you won't lose any units! I never sell those! ;)
