Il 2 dilemma

I'm planning on getting a copy of Il-2 sturmovik for the pc.However I'm confused as to which copy I should buy.I'm considering Il-2 1946, SOW:BOB and Il-2 wings of prey.I have limited experiences with flight sims.Which title above can get me more bang for my buck?Any advice or pointers would be very much appreciated.

I'd go for the SOW:BOB.
As soon as you get it, please share your experience!

Of course I forgot to tell you that you won't be seeing it in stores before mid 2010 :)

PS. Seriously now, you only have one option: 1946. And it is a hell of a good option!!!

Thanks for the advice, I still have one more question.Should I buy Il-2 1946 from a local store or steam?Steam is cheaper but I'm not too keen on it eating up my space and I've head that some people have actually recieved some issues from downloading 1946 from steam.Any insight on this?

I always preferred the box version for plenty of reasons.
But what do you mean by cheaper? 1946 should be very cheap in stores atm.

I bought my DVD for the same price as a download from Stream. Amazon has several used copies available, I'm sure. :) And, Welcome to the world of IL-2!

Thanks for the advice(and welcome). I'll use steam as a back up if the stores here don't stock them.
