Are you looking to upgrade for SOW?

I am sorry if this post is not allowed, but some will be interested, so here it goes:

I am upgrading my setup in anticipation of SOW which will be coming out in about two weeks:rolleyes:

I need something stronger to push my crazy 8 megapixel monitor setup:

This round I am going to the dark side; Ati 5870 and a new Q9650 processor to pump up to 4ghz, so I am selling my old stuff, that some here may be interested in.

1) A Q6700 processor quad core for $100

I'll keep my Q9550 till the new Intel's 6 core cpu is released, but I'm going to change both my 4870 soon. I'm waiting to see what Nvidia will propose...
If it's no better than Ati, than I'll wait for the 5890 and take 2 of them;)

PS: also waiting a bit for a SSD drive, wich I think will help a lot :)

maybe

i was goin to build a dual core with bells for il-2 since the 3 ghz is feeling the age .. .

then wait for BOB SOW to come out and then build a pc for that as well.

I think my i7920@3,3Ghz would be more than enough for SOW....maybe my GTX275 will force me to lower a settings a bit...
dont expect SOW would need atomic PC...lolz...CPUs are strong these days....also Oleg is thinking about optimization as it is very important part of the project..
