A sort of crackling sound when music is turned on
 

Whenever I have music on i hear a sort of crackling sound in the game. I can hear the music fine, but this other crackling sound is really starting to annoy me now. I've updated motherboard/GPU etc and I don't have this problem in other games...

Does anyone know what the problem can be?

My system:

CPU: Amd Athlon 64 X2 4600+
Motherboard: M2N-MX with integrated SoundMax sound card
GPU: Geforce 7500 LE
Memory: 2048 MB DDR2
OS: Windows XP Professional
