which plans have aileron trim?

which planes have aileron trim - rudder trim yes, elevator trim yes, but can't find any that react to aileron trim?

You have to assign keys to trim the ailerons.

Start IL2 then

Hardware set up> input> Hotas control
Under Aircraft controls section > Ailerons Left> Ailerons Right> Ailerons Centre

Set your preferred keys and you should have trim done some aircraft.

If you have already done this and still cant trim make sure the keys you assigned are not "F" locked or require another key on your keyboard to activate them.

no luck - i have them both under key commands (left, center, right) as well as for twisting as a HOTAS control - nothing happens. have flown the spit mk1, yak-9ut as a test.

i know the 109s do not have a rudder trim - so isn't it also the case that not all planes have aileron trim?

secondly, shouldn't i be able to see the trim, in external view (ie ailerons moving slightly, just as when i do rudder trim for the rudder)?

I'm fairly sure the P-47 and P-51 have them, and I would think the A-10 Havoc and B-25 would as well. Other than very long range aircraft, I don't think there are many that would use it.

All the American fighters
All the American bombers
Most two engined bombers
Stuka

That covers most of it barring a few oddities (the Gladiator has, I believe, three axis trim for example).

cheers thanks - all works - as suggested, some planes simply don't have them.
