Buy & Download Questions
 

Hey 1C, I have a few questions about your Buy & Download service.
First, is King's Bounty going to be available with the service?
Second, what about Space Rangers Gold?
Third, if I purchase a game can I put it on my home PC and my laptop when I travel?
Fourth, if I uninstall it and then can I re-install it a few years later if I want to play the game again?

P.S. I have purchased Space Rangers 2 and Fantasy Wars from GamersGate and loved both of them.

1) Yes, it will be available after the release.
3) You may activate (install) your game 3 times. Therefore you can even have the game installed and running on up to 3 computers at the same time.
4) I think no 3 answers this as well.

Is it serious? we have to buy again a game witch we bought and instaled all over again 3 times ... even that this is due to a system failure ? Or are you joking ?

We are happy to look into individual cases in case of system crashes, etc.

The limitations of only being able to re-install three times makes it too frustrating to buy on-line when, like me, I am forever reformatting or changing hard drives not to mention buying new/different computers.

Example; I bought Oblivion on DVD when it first came out and I enjoy modding it so much I'm playing it all the time (was until King's Bounty - The Legend arrived).
I must have re-installed it over 20 times for different reasons since I first bought it.
Oblivion has an expansion add-on called Shivering Isles, that I bought on-line and downloaded from Direct2Drive.com. Because I changed computers I cannot put the expansion on again because it assumes I am some kind of crook. You cannot even add official patches to the downloaded version.

That attitude stinks especially when they have not only my money but my identity, credit card number etc., and still I can't enjoy the game my way without buying a another copy on DVD.

I'll wait until I can get the 'real thing' in a box.
