Steam update
 

Does anyone know when "Steam" game download (IL 1946 v. 4.13.4) will be updated to 4.14 and 4.14.1, waiting many months now. I did update the file
once manually myself but it didnt run well after a few game plays so rather than fool with it I am waiting for Steam to update.
I would think its the publishers responsibility to make this happen.

Daidalos took years to update from 4.12.2 to 4.13.4, so, I guess in a few years. But it's not actually a big deal.

Yeah I hear you.....no rush for me really but at my age I may not be around to enjoy piloting the new flyers. I will do the uninstall/reinstall dance and add the update manually again and hope for the best.

To be fair, the main reason for 4.13.4 being added to steam was due to a notable amount of requests for an update at the time that it was added. It could possibly be a bit more of a demand based thing. Then again, I do not know for sure.

yep.. update steam version from 4.12.2 to 4.13.4 was not our idea ... but we appreciate it ...

If it sounded like it, I did not mean that in a bad way. I understand fully why there may exist delays in updates, which is fine. :grin:

i mean that update in steam it's a complex thing ..
a lot of players who fly in IL1946 using mod packs ... steam update can take affect to their builds .. which already was few time... if autoupdate is enable ... so its not very pleasant situation for all ... so we never hurry with steam updates .. and last one was really wasn't started by us

i suppose we need to say Thakns to JCTiggs and guys from 1C and 777 support team on steam ...
its very it's nice and inspiring to know that our the work is worthy to be added to steam ..and also GOG ...
but again ... no hurry with that ... i don't see big issue to install patch oldschool way ... like it always was ))

Thanks to all for your feedback...I do understand the concerns for the Mods.
I reinstalled the Steam version and did the manual update again and things are running well....Daidalos Team doing a fantastic job over the years.
