since i seem to post a lot of links and videos i will keep them all in one thread from now on. i hate to open new threads. ANYONE who want to do the same here feel free...might see if we can make this a sticky??
for the first post: TAKEN its a speilberg movie about aliens but set back in 44 in the UK. has an awesome 109 vs B17 scene...altho as hollywood can only do..more dramatic than believeable. never the less fans of air combat should enjoy I did a quick search and didnt see this here...if so sorry for the duplicate. enjoy.

worth taking a look at this, I have an interest in KG200 as my granfather mentioned it to me when he was discussing one of his roles during WWII

I always wanted a radio controlled plane as a kid, this one I want as an adult:

Dang! you could practically lay inside the thing and fly it. that is sweet...

Soviet Ace 04-14-2010 08:29 PM

That was pretty sweet. I'd have built a little bombay area, and had it so I could drop little plastic bombs from the plane. And I'd have had others flying some Japanese Tony's and other WW2 Japanese fighters directed to attack the B-29s. That'd be sweet to show people...

Only problem I have with RC planes, is the worry that since I'm not actually right there in the plane, or can see from the planes point of view (I'd have to attach a camera or something inside?) I'd be afraid of crashing it into the ground. I'd much rather be up there.

lol why are all the germans flying 109E's, In late 1944? I don't think so.

bobbysocks 04-14-2010 09:17 PM

caught that did you, Pope? i am not that up on that kind of stuff to catch it but that was the topic of discussion where i got the vid from...and why i put "altho as hollywood can only do..more dramatic than believeable."

SA...to wreck something like that after all the time to build it would make me sick. they guy would have had to put a chute on it like they have for ultralight AC. something malfunctions and you kill the engines and deploy the chute....if he didnt he's crazy.
