Yuplay dev forum Now Gaijin Dev Forum

Hi guys,

I was pissed off with the ability of this forum to do anything except plane text (no tables, no lists, not even codebox without scrolling).

So I will be posting news about sequel and updates to this game on our (developer's) forum:
http://forum.yuplay.com/index.php?showforum=7
Feel free to re-post all information here.

I will still appear hear a lot, of course.

EDIT: Use Google Translate to register

I didn't realise it was possible to unlock the Ta without the preorder bonus...or do you still need that?

That's for PlayStation3. It is included there. Or for pre-order bonus.

Wissam24 09-13-2009 10:54 AM

I shall get to doing that quicksmart!

trk29 09-13-2009 12:38 PM

Anton I see you will be fixing the brake issue with the flight sticks but is anything being done about the rudder? There is no fine adjustment it's either on or off.

Nolan451 09-13-2009 12:48 PM

Sorry.. the register form is in cyrillic!!! :)

Is possible in English?

Anton, So then you would have to use a keyboard to fly then right?

trk29 09-13-2009 02:40 PM

Heres hoping my old Microsoft Side winder Precision Pro will work.

That is what I used on the original IL-2.

haitch40 09-13-2009 03:13 PM

Sorry, will be fixed by tomorrow.

mattd27 09-13-2009 06:18 PM

So is the new forum just going to be for news updates etc. or are you looking to rival this forum as the new place for the community?

No.
You use flightstick and mouse, for example.

New forum is mostly about sequel (for me). And, because it supports lists/tables/attachments/etc I am posting some information about unlocks/title updates there and will give links. I mean, I wasn't able to do it here at all!

I am still here, answering questions, and supporting community.
But if someone is interested in a future flight sim games from us - it is better to go there give us your ideas. This is not about community things (discussions, regrets, thanks, flames, holywars, etc) - it is about talking with developers.

I'm assuming the mouse part is so that mouse control on a pc flightstick will work for free look. The X52 has a nub on the throttle you use with your thumb, as well as a wheel and buttons.

I know but using a mouse and a joystick at the same time is something I probably won't be able to accomplish well.:-P

Raw Kryptonite 09-13-2009 06:43 PM

I'm still working on that "walking and chewing gum at the same time" thing myself. :-P

beaker126 09-13-2009 07:47 PM

I think I did it right, but the email it sent me was in Cyrillic. Do you have to download Google Translator or what? I'd really like to take a look at this.

All you need is at the 3rd line which say "Пароль: <random numbers and letters>", this is your password untill you change it to something you can remember

Lexandro 09-13-2009 08:44 PM

"Deleted"

Ignore please. Carry on.

chacal49 09-13-2009 10:56 PM

Good news! yessss i wont have to buy a new joystick :-)

Thanks for the news Anton :-)

dandymountfarto 09-14-2009 08:57 AM

pc flightstick support for the ps3?! damn microsoft and their commercial reasoning!!! i really cant understand why they bothered with usb ports on the 360 - except as a fleecing opportunity.

Anton Yudintsev 09-14-2009 09:24 AM

Do not rely too much on PS3 flightsticks.
We are depending on how Sony support them in their drivers, and it seems that some buttons/axis of some flightsticks are not working at all (not sending signals to game).
It is still much better than nothing, and probably better than some of PS3 flightsticks, but most of PC flightsticks still won't be comparable to Ace Edge (except deadzone issue) or Aviator (X360 version).

beaker126 09-14-2009 02:45 PM

I appologise If I seem dense, but I put in the password it gave me in the email and it just sends me back to the registration screen. I would greatly appreciate any advice.

BadByte 09-21-2009 08:48 PM

That lasted long... guess 1c smacked gajin on the fingers since it's dead now

MorgothNL 09-21-2009 08:53 PM

yeah :(
too bad, on that forum the devs did actually respond to a lot of serious game related questions

Ancient Seraph 09-21-2009 09:52 PM

Hoping it will just be a minor issue, solved tomorrow. It was nice to have the serious stuff meant for the developers all in one place, without random stuff around it.

Raw Kryptonite 09-22-2009 12:54 AM

Might have taken it down to work on it.

Birds of Prey: Why is very difficult to found pyayers on line in the multiplayer server? Is the server to busy?

Not really the right topic to ask it in. The answer is: people have to host themselves, which doesn't happen too often, and there is only a small online community. Therefore it might be hard to find a good game. It kind of depends on your time zone as well, since there's more people in for example Europe or North America then Australia.

Stuka28 10-04-2009 06:41 PM

Update

Is there any news on when the title update will be released and what is going to be in it.

edal86 10-06-2009 05:04 PM

fuel loadout option, would be nice to take weight off fulll fuel tanks, I heard this was how they were fixing p51 performance, it can help other planes too. (ignore if already commented)

I second that notion 100% the option to change the fuel loadout options would help all planes i feel. Now about that pesky machine gun and rocket strike ticket issue...hint hint p-51 bomb loadout, impossible to get without crashing into target...im a sad panda.

On that subject, what is the chance we could see a dedicated server?

You WILL get more online players and a larger community with dedicated server as an option - there is no doubt about this.

True. The problem is though that I don't think IL2 will create enough revenue to maintain these servers. Other problem is even if the devs would want this, they wouldn't be able to do it since the networking is out of their hands.
Chances are very close to 0.

Ancient Seraph 11-15-2009 09:09 PM

Any news when the YuPlay forums will be up again?

trk29 05-03-2011 12:53 PM

I didn't see it posted so I thought I would let everyone know about Gaijin's new Forum so
check it out.
