"Invite Party" with back button gone?
Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I'm not seeing this tonight?
Either I'm doing something different or something changed in the game. Anyone else see that option to invite your party tonight? Wed 9/9, it was there Tues. |

I was hoping that would go without saying, but yes. LOL

If your playing a Ranked match, you can't for some reason invite players to the game. So if you were in a party while playing a Ranked match and tried inviting players to the game, that back button invite would of been gone.
|
This was hosting a player match as usual.
Does anyone see this option as of today? Have a party going, host player match...usually you'd have the option in the lobby to hit the back button and invite the party with just the one button. Start would take you to invite friends, but back would invite the whole party in one go. |

Bump for a new day. ;)
|
I was playing in a party all last night and the party invite function was working fine.
|
Was the host using the back button shortcut, or just the usual one through the dashboard party page?
|
Ok, I've got it figured out.
You have to be the host of the party as well as the room. When I start the party on another gamertag and invite the one I'm using to host the game into the party, I do not get the invite party/back button option. Start the party with the hosting gamertag, open room and then I do get the option. Mystery solved. |
The button for switching between party and game chat is also missing.

That's true too. We had a party of 6-7 in the game. We ended up with a few others popping in the room. Teams were left random but we couldn't switch over to be able to hear the others. It's a PITA to go through the FL to re-invite after a round, so we just kept using the party.
It would be nice to have the benefit of the quick party invite, but use comms in the game so you hear your team (and only your team). |
I'd noticed the lack of a Game Chat chat channel and thought it was weird as well. Its good being in a party to get friends in but you could do with being able to talk to the random joiners as well (especially in team games).

Yea, I really hope they fix this in the future, having a game chat channel is a plus and cuts out the un-needed leaving the party entirely to go chat to some one, then needing another invite to the party to get back in.
ALSO, I know this isn't the right topic for it, but I really think they should have some type of way to set controls/sensitivity for different game types, I always find myself right at the beginning of an arcade or realistic game pausing to either, lower or raise the sensitivity..:( |
