...QUIT BECAUSE THEY AREN'T GOING TO WIN!!!!!

4 GAMES IN A ROW SOME RANDOM FECK-WAD HAS QUIT BECUASE HE'S GOING TO LOSE!!!

what useless mommys-boys are playing this game, ACCEPT IT!, sometimes you WILL lose! take it like a man, and accept you were bested!

is anyone else having this?

H Lecter 09-07-2009 02:45 PM

I only halfheartedly tried to get a MP connection.

First I said 'Let's try some dogfight on sim mode' - 'No BoP servers available this time'
Ok, so maybe another game type, let's try 'any' - 'No BoP servers available this time'
Hmmm, well, maybe nobody is playing it on sim, let's try any difficulty - 'No BoP servers available this time'
Damn, ok, let's host a game. 10 minutes later I gave up. That was Sunday morning, 10:30 GMT.

Sorry for going off topic - back to your question now. Consoleros generally have a bad attitude when it comes to losing. Try Battlefield 1943 - when you see your team losing it won't take long until at least half of your team mates quit.

While not pleased about getting my ass handed to me, I definitely take a loss like a man and try harder the next time. If you're playing on X360, feel free to add me to your friends list. GT 'H Lecter'. I'll be happy to have at least one person who plays this game on sim difficulty.

I've only had one go and that was after selecting "any" and "any" for the options. I ended up in a room set to arcade and full of Welshmen all shouting incomprehensibly at one another.

Seems then that I was still better off finding nothing at all. I would hate it if all online action was arcade only. (Can live with the Welshmen part )

I too have had difficulty finding anything other than arcade rooms. It's my hope that everyone is just concentrating on campaign first in order to unlock more planes, and that MP play picks up soon.

I refuse to play any more arcade games. There's little real ACM skill involved, and it usually comes down to whoever has their sensitivity cranked up the highest. I'm not going to reset this every time I enter a game.

Well i let ye shoot me down lots of times the other night. I didn't want to beat ye so badly, that it put you off the game for good. ;)

nudger1964 09-07-2009 03:45 PM

if you patient you will find a game on any mode. do your search, and if it comes up blank, leave it and will show when someone has created a game. in otherwords, the list does refresh itself every few seconds.

loopdreams 09-07-2009 03:50 PM

360 or PS3? On 360 it just says Server not available and you need to press to try again.

Jasta 6 09-07-2009 03:54 PM

Yeah that's the problem with most online games nowadays. Most of the kids playing are more concerned with maintaining their precious stats than they are with just haveing fun. These are the same people that start clans that don't take members unless they have a ridiculously high KDR, and scream obscenities about your mother into their mic when they win, and are the first ones to cry cheater and glitcher when you win. People have no sense of honor anymore.

they do go to japan u will find loads of honor lol

moozicmon 09-07-2009 09:30 PM

I can tell you I had to quit a match or ten because every time I spawned I would spontaneously explode. It usually happend after someone got a kill, so that may be what other people are doing as well.

There are some serious issues with multiplayer, as least in my experience :(

mattd27 09-07-2009 09:42 PM

For people complaining about not being able to find a match, just create a session and wait for people to join, that usually works best for me.

About the quitting issue, plain and simple: that sucks. I see this a lot in other games too, it's mostly immature 10 year olds who can't take a loss and/or think it's funny to see how people react.

I guess it's good to play with people you know aren't going to pull any stunts like that.

Wehrwulf 09-07-2009 10:25 PM

Well I'm still waiting on the game over here in the U.S. of A, but feel free to send me a PM. Gamertag AceofSpadezs. :)

Rufus_the_Rat 09-07-2009 10:30 PM

People quitting prematurely is a common issue in many multiplayer games on consoles - there's nothing Sturmovik can really do about it.

House MD 221B 09-07-2009 10:37 PM

i know its not the game's fault, i just needed to rant after 3 straight games of it. :)

and Wehrwulf, fancy joining a squadron? :) http://www.202nd.webs.com

Robotic Pope 09-07-2009 11:40 PM

One way to decrease the amount of people quiting is to make it imposible to quit a running multiplayer game without turning off the game. so you have to wait for the end of the game to quit. It works for Ace Combat 6. This could easily be included in the patch. Don't make it easy for quiters.

PedroTheGoat 09-07-2009 11:52 PM

If you're on 360 and are having a tough time finding a simulator match then add my Gamertag to your friends list and I will invite you to join simulator dogfight anytime I am on.

GT: PedroTheGoat

I always have a simulator room up.

You do know that at Gamestop, in the US, BoP is out already.

The people with honor have stopped chatting, thanks to the jerks.

could anyone chime about lag please? I can only get a 3g connection at the moment so i will never be more than 3 bars...does a bit of lag make it unplayable (unreal3) or can you adapt to lag (e.g. cod4double tap autos, dsilence and rpgs kinda negates lag)

Yes, they're sackless stat whores that can't take a loss ! If your caught doin that sh!t 3x, INTENTIONALLY, you should be banned from playing that game online for 3 months. That would stop alot of ppl from doin it.

I've been shot up a few times and slowly spiralled down to the ground while the person that damaged me followed me down firing furiously to finish me off and when I hit the ground in a completely uncontrollable aircraft no one was awarded a kill against me.

It's not the people that are at fault, it's the game for not awarding kill for crashes and bail outs correctly.

I agree that people do crash and bail out of a damaged aircraft, but it has more to do with the fact that the aircraft is almost unflyable, it's not in human nature or even gamer nature to fly around in a crippled plane waiting to destroyed. They just need to patch the awarding of kills so damaging a plane that then crashes or the pilot bails out = a kill.

House MD 221B 09-09-2009 03:28 PM

dont get me wrong i dont mind bailing out (i still think you should get a half kill) but if u can get through the menu to bail out before being destroyed then fair play, but there should be a reward for making them bail out.
