Actual Release Date?
So far, I have been getting a lot of conflicting information about the release date. First, Gamestop said the release date was 9-8, now Gamestop says release is 9-2, Amazon says the release is 9-15, the official site says nothing. Give all of this information and the fact that I really want this game, any valid information regarding the release would be helpful. If I could start playing this game next week that would be one of the best things to ever happen to the 360. If I have to wait an extra week, not so much. That being said Devs, anything you could tell us would be a great leap over what the various preorder sites are saying.

Gamestop rarely gets bad info this close to a release. I think it will be next week.

The actual release day is now [B]Sept 2nd
http://www.gamestop.com/browse/searc...ds%20of%20Prey It is very shocking, and very, very rare that a game that is only 2 weeks away gets bump up a week(or in this case 6 days), but it is 100% legit. When a game is this close to release, and Gamestop changes a date you can absolutely 100% take it to the bank. They are never wrong when a release date is this close. |
I generally trust Gamestop, just wondering how a game actually got pushed up and I would like the Devs to give us some kind of feedback one way or another. Having this game and Section 8 out in the same week makes for the best week in 360 history. I am ok with either date, but I want some solid answers. Let's all hope that it got pushed up, a rare and unusual feat for the 360.

Anyone else notice that the handhelds ship 6 days after consoles on GameStop?
|
I did. That's what led me to believe that the 9/2 date wasn't bogus.
|
 WOW, NEXT WEEK?!
SWEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTAAHHHH!!!! |
Good observation, I'm buying it.
|
Seeing as the UK gets it on the 4th, I reckon the 2nd is probably right for US. You guys normally get games first, even if they are developed in the UK! lol
See you all next week! |
if the ship date is the 2nd does that mean you could buy on the 2nd?

Not usually. Most stores will get the game 9/3, but a few will get it the day of. I go to a Gamestop in Waco, TX, and we usually get a pass since the corporate headquarters is an hour away in Grapevine, TX. But, based on what happened with Section 8 at Gamestop, it could be here any day. Section 8 is still listed on the website as launching 9/1, but it came in Friday afternoon. If Gamestop got the date wrong for BoP there's gonna be riots. A game with an almost cult following, in Waco, TX..... You do the math here, but cult things end with fire here in the Waco area. Blah blah blah, a classless joke, it was 1992 people! I know personally that if they somehow screwed this release date up I am going to set fire to the BoP tshirts that I got in my front yard. Giving me the tshirt on Friday then being grossly inaccurate on the release date is like that one girl back in high school that always flirted with everybody but never let anyone round the bases, just one big tease that's going to leave nothing but angry men in its wake. |
Walmart has it slated here in California on 9/15/09

will check the stores wednesday after school, if I have no luck I'll have to wait till friday...
I find it very annoying that release dates are rarely disclosed for mainland europe, they only get disclosed for the US, UK, and asia... mainland europe release dates are sometimes different from the UK ones... hmmm, might try my luck tomorrow at my local game store to see if they already have them in stock at the back, and to see if I can get them to sell me a copy :) |
I got an email from Gamestop on Fri. that said the date has been moved to the 2nd for the US.
