S&S Recruiting (360, PS3)
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...519/SSlogo.png "In caelo, unus cornus pugnatoris multis" - "In the sky, one wing of many fighters" The Sins & Saints is opening its doors to players interested in IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey. We currently have three squadrons dedicated to the upcoming version IL-2, but will expand based on interest and activity. Players on any skill level should feel free to join. We just ask that you bring a positive attitude and we will take care of the rest. Leadership positions are also available. A brief history about us: Created in 2001 under the name of the Sea Haven Ministry of Defense, our popular name derives from our top performers from the team, the Sinners and the Saints Squadrons. Our gaming ventures have defined us through Ace Combat, though we have expanded into multiple games across many platforms. BoP will be our second console flight game in which we have squadrons for and we aim to achieve the same dominance in the air with IL-2 that we did with AC6. We currently have around 100 members, 60 of which are active and around 30 of those members are active on a daily basis. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5thuoTfXnc For more about our history or to join, please visit the Sins & Saints website. For all general comments and questions, feel free to contact through Email at Recruitment@sinsandsaints.org. Any and all information is readily available at our site as well. Of course we invite everyone to register at the forums and speak with the Operations Officer, "Tabasco Cat." Thank you. |
looks good

I for one am gonna hold off on joining any squadron until I get the feel of MP combat. Most of my flight sim experience was from before I got broadband, so it's mainly vs the computer. I want to get some real experience first so I don't just drag everyone else down.

I understand. I think most people will do the same and wait to join a squad. We just thought we'd get a head start and pick up the players that want to join early. I do hope you guys will keep us in mind when the game comes out .

where do u join on your website?
|
looks good!
will def have you in mind |
I'm interested, but like some others have said, I really do want to get a grip on all the different MP game modes, and find out what strategies work best for me in each of them before I go joining squads.
But after some good hours in the game I'll definitely go head over to your website.;) |
Sounds very appealing, the only thing for me is I don't get on that much. Not that much, meaning I have a job and I only get on in the evenings and not even every night....
To be in the squad is it a "you must show up at this time." ...? |
Will probably join a squad later.. but to you guys know if you can join each others games and invite and stuff ?

Hi guys!
I'm the owner of the Sins & Saints, "Sinner101GR." Just wanted to stop by and say hello. You've all met one of the leaders for the Sins & Saints, Draux. He happens to be our XO for our AFCOM section of the team, and is directly in charge of over 40 people dedicated to Ace Combat 6 on the Xbox 360. Our team has been around for about 8 years now, we got our start in Ace Combat actually, and have since expanded to games such as Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Metal Gear Online and of course, Call of Duty 4. IL:2 Strumovik provides us with a unique opportunity to not only get into another airframe based video game, but it the first time we have ever delved from the modern aspect of gaming that our team usually bases itself upon. IL:2 is perhaps the best chance that the xbox will have at reviving the aerial dogfights that so many of us have come to love in gaming, and it will be an interesting startup, given the immense following on the PC. As a team, we claim to be the most "professional" out there. Our dedication is to our members, our Honor Treatise and our Mission Statement exemplify those ideals. We are a mature gaming group that seeks to enhance the idea of respect, all the while learning to work as a team and constantly improve our skills. With those traits, and our commitment to excellence, we are the dominating team in the Ace Combat community, not only in membership (about 100 members, 40 of them active on Ace Combat every single day) but in skill and reliability. If you seek skill, we are confident that we will continue our pedigree into this new endevour. If you seek comradely, we have a retention rate of over 85% and are the largest and most active team in our arena at Ace Combat. If you seek realism, then I proudly offer you the following Squadrons:
From all of us at the Sins & Saints, we look forward to flying with and against you, but through it all, we look forward to seeing a community flourish due to the dedication of the various squadrons and members. There is no greater competitive arena than one that sees respect as paramount, and as I have seen, this community has been exemplary. |
Hi everyone!
Well, the game has been released, and we have had exceptional show of force already with our members tearing up the skies over Europe. If you are looking for a premier squadron for IL:2, I can assure of of our commitment to excellence. Check us out at www.sinsandsaints.org We look forward to seeing you all in the skies! |
|
Sure, I'm sure the guys are up for it.
Gamertag on Xbox? |
Sorry to be double posting, just seeing if this challenge is still on, we're good and ready with anywhere from 1 to 8 of our guys ready to go.
It might be nice to take on a team that has some skill, we've never had a challenge in Ace Combat...the opposition has never actually ever put up a fight against us, but this is new to us, so it would be nice to test ourselves for once. Look forward too it House MD 221B. |

Most of our current membership is on Xbox 360, we are also on PS3, but our numbers there are on only in the single digits. The CO of that particular wing, Draux, happens to have both consoles and will be able to play both groups.
We are a team from Ace Combat, which was on PS2, and then to the 360. Of our membership, we have a little bit over 100 members, with about 50 of them active on Ace Combat. Of that group, around 15 or so have gotten IL2 and have been playing rather fervently. Personally, I do not have the game, I'm focusing my efforts on Modern Warfare 2, and prepping our team for a makeover concerning the game. IL:2 is meant to be another game that our guys can play that has that feel of realism, luckily for us, this one actually plays realistically (something we dont get with Ace Combat 6.) Given the number of registrations on our forums, and the people that are considering us...I'm looking at about 15-20 active users on our PS3 group and 30ish on our IL:2 group, if I'm being generous. Given the niche market of this game, and the fact that this is not a game that a lot of people can just pick up and play (and will therefore get frustrated in online...) I'm assuming we will be around 20 xbox, 10 or so PS3, should we choose to advertise ourselves by word of mouth, instead of actively recruit... |

we have?
Good to know. I'm not directly in this game yet, you'll have to excuse me. So far as I understand, one of our members is 4th on Arcade Team Battle, and has been tossing the number 1 slot on several occasions (a booster with the gamertag "gooniepl"). Our guys, from what I've been informed of, are more akin to Realistic mode. Several of our members are in the top 10 on leaderboards. Given that leaderboards are completely based on kills....I dont think this really gives a good idea of where skill is based on. I am a stern believer in K/D spread as an indication of skill. We've learned in Ace Combat that points are the way to go, and though our members legitimately got their rankings, most of the top guys "boost" by using the worst ranking airframe in the game, and work to shoot down the top point based airframe with Guns. This system is on IL:2 BoP is a lot nicer, but still gives no true indication of skill. Obviously, it will be nice to play against people who have an appreciation for this kind of thing. Hope we get a challenge! We've been looking for one for about 8 years now. New game, new possibilities. Look forward too it, trk29 :). Again, anyone wanting to get some games in, please contact Draux, he is the S&S CO for our "Preservation Wing." Thanks guys! |
Great, I have been looking for a challenge, Im on the top 2 for everything on realistic and top 3 for simulation. Im with V.A.S hopefully I can face serious players now. There is a way to calculate a player skill by taking into consideration games played, kills, and percentage of efficiency. There is a guy that is really good on sim (PSN = whatsablacksheep) maube he is one of your guys.
B.T.W. you guys seem very professional in what you do I would be interested in joining Operation Flashpoint 2 squads if you will cover that game. |
We havent gotten our PS3 guys up, most of our members are based on 360 at this current junction...unfortunately due to the AC6 release on 360 as an exclusive.
To answer your question on Operation Flashpoint, we are in fact doing a group for them. 1st MSOC for 360 and 2nd MSOC for PS3. As always, check out our website, www.sinsandsaints.org Thanks! |
I must say that I am rather disappointed as your initial post for this group lead me to think you were a decent group of players. I final got into a MP room (after 4 days of trying) which had only a few guys sporting your clan tag and was promptly told to leave. I don't know how anyone thinks this game will ever have a decent MP community with this kind of attitude towards people outside of your regular group.
|
Well, do remember, there is no such thing as a private room, and when we want to fly together (and there are quite a few of us.) we have to ask people to leave.
Now, even though you were told to leave, whoever was hosting that round simply could have booted you and have been done with it. Realize that not every game is meant to be open, sometimes we wish to fly together. I believe you, as well as anyone in here, most assuredly the other squadrons, can respect that, yes? Sorry for your trouble, if you want to fly with us, again, the best chance is to contact us and see about joining. Sorry for the misunderstanding. |
The only reason I could think that they asked you to take off was they wanted even teams, but they should have made the room private. If your looking for a multiplayer match, put me on your friends list and we can play sometime.
|
I admit i have no idea how many people a room will hold but i was number 4 in the room and I was mostly annoyed by it due to the fact that it was the first room I had managed to connect to in 4 days of trying. I just dont get how with all the complaining I have seen about not enough people playing I cant see why anyone would not want someone to play.
|
What's up drew, ben, nice to see some familiar names ;)
|
Quote:
Obviously it was a misunderstanding, but complaining about us without having full knowledge of what was going on is certainly not appreciated. Online for this game is rather shallow, I hope you find a room, perhaps join us at a future time. Also, Gray Fox, nice to see you online |
what no o3

Nice to see you o351.
Looks like a few of the members are coming online here at IL:2 |
o3 salutes Sinner.... good to see you!
|
For anyone surfin the forums and happen to come on here, tonight is our "unofficial" practice night. Wednesdays are usually just show up and play for the guys, we fancy new recruits usually, so if you are looking for an active team...we got half a dozen on right now, and expect about 10 more of our guys to get on for IL2 here on 360 within the next ten minutes.
Stop on by! |
Nice to see you o3 :)
|
Got a message from the 202nd for a challenge.
To House MD and all others on your squadron, go ahead and talk with "Draux." You guys are more than welcome to join us on our forums and we can set a thread up there for discussion and challenge specifics. Look forward to it. |
use private messages bruh , nobody wants to join your cult
|
Excuse me...but what exactly is your problem?
|
Quote:
It appears he has confused us with the infamous snuggie cult, an understandable mistake left over from the days when we provided warm blankets to new recruits. Now instead of blankets we hand out Kool-aid to avoid being mistaken for one of these dangerous cults he speaks of. ...Or maybe he's just bitter because he doesnt have anyone to play with. I dunno. |
Quote:
are possibly the lowest form of gamer , just find freinds to play with and play with them , no complicated signatures or retarded clan drama required |
Quote:
And if things dont get better online, clan matches may be the only way to get a decent MP match in IL-2. Unfortunately. |
Quote:
They are by no means "cults." Please, in the future, keep your comments to yourself, and we shall provide the same courtesy. Regardless, it seems that several people have joined our "cult." It's been pretty rewarding so far. Thanks. |
