Bugged quests in the Steam version
 

Hi everyone! If I understand right, some quests in the Steam version of KB became unfinishable after the latest update.
In this thread all of them will be listed.
Please update the list, so I can send it to the devs and solve this issue.

1) Aritridis Rescue
2) Rescue the Frogs
3) Lucky James quest
4) Mehgard quest

Bagud is gone.

Just found another buggy quest, one which I didn't start until now. Its the one called "Cursed Treasure", where you get a map, go into a cave, battle mob, find chest, battle mob and find a artifact and gold. When I return to Bob Davis, I cant complete the quest.. "Still havent found the treasure"

Other quests
 

I had three unfinishable side quests :
Artridis' Rescue : when I bring the eggs back to the griffin, nothing happens
Pirate's Crops : same thing when bringing the 5 herbs to the pirate
Cursed Treasure : wheter I open the treasure in the cave or not, the pirate outside can't realize it

I had some others which I can't remember where the quest log wouldn't update unless I use the save and reload tip

Sadly this tip doesn't seem to work for the Mehgard pilot and now I'm stuck in the main quest.

Maybe there's a way to change my saved game in a 1.6 version just for this part (steam version) ?
Maybe there's a place in Mehgard where the save and reload tip would work best in order to make the pilot appear ?

Crap, another quest is broken. The quest "Pirate's Crops", when I look at the quest details, it says that I got 0/5 plants, but I got 5 plants in my inventory and can't complete the quest by the NPC.

EDIT: Doh, didn't read the comment above. At least we confirmed that its not a unique event.

THis quest is broken. Never updates orces killed and can't resolve. Steam 1.7

Here are the buggy quest I encountered (all after upgrading steam version from 1.6 to 1.7) :

- Tree of life orcs (quest log doesn't update)
- Egnum the Evilns-eater (Egnum status is "Pigged out" but its master still says it's hungry)
- The Seven Forms of Haas (quest log doesn't update)
- Bagud (he vanished after our first fight). Can't finish the game due to this one.

I've attached my savegame right before Bagud's fight. All remaining quests in my quest log are buggy.

So, any news on the bugs in the quests? Is there an solution, or fix for it? Don't really want to play on if the quests keeps breaking.

Well, most likely you'll have to restart the game, as these problems are related with old bugged version of the game. The current steam version doesn't have such problems, but old saves may not work properly with it. In fact there is almost zero chance that old saves can be fixed due to technical difficulties.
I'm really sorry that this happen, but in this situation starting a new game on the latest version will be the best solution to avoid bugged quests.

I am disappointed that after finishing the game without issue, there were several "patches" released plus a save game fixer to allow us to continue playing with our old saves. We are now being told that our fixed saves are actually not fixed but totally screwed and we have to start again.

Yeah, I'm pissed as well, this will be the third time I had to start over because of a new patch, freaking annoying. Going to shelf this game a while, cant be *** with it now.
