For the Mustang enthusiasts amongst us... a link to enjoy ;)
Many of you will probably know the website. I didn't until last-week. The link I am posting is on this website called Airshow Buzz, and it shows filming of The Horsemen routing with Lee Lauderback, and all captured by a Gyroscopically Stabilised camera mounted to a Helicopter. It's probably one of the best clips I've ever seen!

The site wanted to install software on my PC .. no thanks !! |
The software it installs is just a plug in for media player, nothing sinister, but understand your trepidation.

Installed plugin and it crashes Firefox.
We're Sorry Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. To help us diagnose and fix the problem, you can send us a crash report |
Blimey Alpha, it's a good job you have Bad Luck or you wouldn't have any luck at-all!
I'm using Firefox and it runs fine, as it does for thousands of others who have viewed the video! Which version of Firefox have you got installed? Mine reads: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11, Ant.com Toolbar 1.3 Cheers, MP. (that's in the Help/About Mozilla Firefox) |

Wondering if it's anything to do with Javascripting? Do you have the latest version of Java installed on your PC? http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp Just a thought? MP |

Firefox 3.0.11 - Windows 7 RC1 Ultimate 64 bit. Sun JRE 1.6.0_13-b03 EDIT again: It crashes IE8 too... Maybe something to do with running 64-bit? The "Move Media Player" is SO far down the drain now... ;) |

Okay, in a hope that this may get you up and running (or at least able to watch the video...it really is worth it!), try downloading this codec pack:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...codec_pack.htm The Klite Codec Mega Pack has virtually every known codec on the internet and should work flawlessly with 64-bit systems (I run Vista 64 bit Ultimate, with no issues). When you install the codec pack, you'll see an option in the top bar saying 'Default'. Click on the drop down arrow and choose "Lots of stuff with Media Player Classic" Media Player Classic plays Real Movie formats and quicktime and uses about 10% of the resources that the bloated Windows Media Player does. Even though it is 32-bit codec pack, it works fine in 64-bit systems, but if you want to add extra encoding and decoding ability to the klite Codec pack, you can also install the 64-bit add-on here: http://www.codecguide.com/klcp_64bit.htm Please try them and see if that helps.
