Speech anyone?
 

Hello,

as mentioned in another thread i have absolutely no speech in the game.
After looking around i noticed there arent any language files installed.
I bought the game and i get no speech but the people who use torrents to download and didn't pay get speech?

The reviews also mention that there is speech, so the customers who pay for the final version are getting less then pirates and reviewers??

And they are working on a physx-patch?
We need everything but no patch with more physx!
This software is nothing more then beta.
This game is a bad joke and 1c can be sure i am done with games published from them.

I like gaming and i am really one who always pays for games and never downloads them, but with releasing games like this the publishers don't have to wonder why people refuse to pay for games.

You mean you have sound but no voices? Pirated version can't contain more materials then official release.

I have sound but absolutely no speech.
I bought the english version because german is still not ready.
Without subtitles i would get nothing information ingame.
But the subtitles are way too fast, if i pick up a peace of paper i see the subtitles about 1 second and in cutscenes same.
I have no chance to read it that fast and so i only can guess what they want me to do.

I've seen german versions with full text and speech from torrents fully working.
The german version is not still released. So, where does that come?

I don't need german text or speech, but without speech of any language and written text showing up for less then 1 second this is not playable.

So people who downloadet their version get full experience but not me who spend money.

The reviews are talking about speech, so why do i even miss the folder with the language files?

EDIT: I found that the speech should be located at Cryostasis\Data\Sounds\voiceover but this folder doesnt exist there for me.

The fun is that the launcher from dvd starts with german, the setup is english and then there is nothing ingame.

I have the exact same problem: No speech.
I also bought the english version and in the install directory I do not get any speech files... The folder has a size of 4.43gb.

Is there a possebility to get the speechfiles as a download?

My system is a vista64bit laptop.

Just saw that the installer runs in german, could it be that this is the problem that I'm running on a german vista and the installer tries to install the non existing german voice over?

Guys, can you post the cover of your versions, if they are legal, therу must be voices.

I sorted it out (somehow or atleast I found the problem):

I have tested it on a english version of Windows and there the speech gets installed. It seams to be an error with the installer that when you are installing the english version on a german windows he does not find the speech files, because the installer starts in german.

Is there a way to force the installer to start in english? some comando line or something?

@Nike-it: To imply that the legal version can't have this problem is a little harsh, because you tell indirect we are pirates what is not true as you can see above.

Well, sorry, I didn't suspect you in piracy or anything similar.
To solve your problem please contact the support team (support@1cpublishing.eu), they may know how avoid german during installation.

Didn't tried the download but the site works fine.

@unforgiven: Do you have a english version of windows at hand, for example at work as I did? there it installs fine and you can copy out the speech files manualy and copy it over to your german windows install.

Perhaps 1C will pubish the speech files as workaround for guys like us who have this problem...

Unforgiven_II I already wrote, that I didn't suspect you in piracy, just want to get as more info about your problem, as from the first look it seemed to be very strange. The problem is really caused by german version of windows, and I advice you to follow Seminus and ask our support for help, they have much more info and resources for such cases.

Thirst i thought it could be the 64bit version, but i also tried installing on my XP machine and missing speech files there too.
Wondering why no one else is complaining about that, i am sure there are many customers in germany who ordered english version.

guys, im having the exact same problem.

Im german and ordered the download version from gamersgate.com (legal). The installer is german but the game's in english (which is fine), but no voiceover whatsoever (which is bad).

I contacted the support and re-download right now after switching my windows to english.
