If it is up and running it must be a closely guarded secret !

I believe Oleg said the Website developer would not be available to build the SOW website until the end of the year. Not sure how long it takes to build a website but they probably wouldn't launch it anyway until there substantial new info/screeenshots the developer wanted to post.

If its a serious website project then it could take weeks or months depending on what was needed and whatever the built in delays are. I have some experience in this realm...particularly with the built in delays such as actually getting the content thats supposed to go up or fighting features versus browser compatibility (IE6 = fail).

To be honest, I had forgotten about the website. I do remember (can't remember how long ago though) that this website was being officially talked about.

Is there any update on the opening of the SoW BoB website & forums?

it is under construction and design at the moment. I hope to get it working in the end of december. The team that ordered for the creation of site is too busy.

A couple more week's be sure

I wouldn't imagine it takes that long to do a website, 2 weeks max if someone really wanted it done. Then again even if it was done they wouldn't have a whole lot to show at this stage apart from a few 3d models etc. Is SOW at alpha stage yet?

SOW won´t be ready for 2009 due to a financial reduction for OM team, no support=no money=no product. ;)

So relax, and enjoy IL2 till next year.

Is this a factual statement?
If so could it mean that there is no publisher pumping money into the development, we already know that UBI are not involved.
I have always had a suspicion that Birds Of prey was a way of making a few bucks to pump into SOW, but this is not a fact by any means.

Chivas 01-17-2009 06:09 PM

I doubt it Tree. He has a "Wink" after his statement. Unless of course he has link that contradicts what the developer has been saying about his finances. I have no reason at this point not to believe the developer, but forum members can voice their opinion, but it carries little wait unless they can back it up with some facts.

Hi!

Happy New Year!

And personally for me I wish myself to finish BoB in new Year!

That's good enough for me:-)

JG52Uther 01-17-2009 10:08 PM

He didn't say WHAT 'new year' though! ;)

Does anyone know whether SOW is at Alpha stage yet? If it isn't then its got a long way to go.

Chivas 01-18-2009 12:24 AM

I remember Oleg saying quite some time ago that it was very close to Beta stage, which would imply that BOB had been in Alpha stage along time ago and problably in beta stage now.

Tree_UK 01-18-2009 07:29 AM

Excellent, we should see some video shots soon or hear from beta testers, very good news.
