Item Thread

I'm listing the items that I've found in my game. Please add any items missing, thanks.

I've left out some of the cruddy stuff.

Starting out with hats - will edit in more.

Nice information, thanks. :)

Now if someone could tell us where each of the items are found that would be very helpful.

Metathron 11-29-2008 10:23 AM

The vast majority are random, so no such information can be provided.

Keneth 11-29-2008 12:32 PM

Oh dear, you don't need threads like this, just open up items.txt or en_items.lng and you'll have there listed every single item in the game.

sours 11-29-2008 05:48 PM

Could you list the path for that items file please? I can't seem to find it.

Keneth 11-29-2008 06:53 PM

$installdir/sessions/base/loc_ses.kfs:eng_items.lng
$installdir/sessions/base/ses.kfs:items.txt

sours 11-29-2008 09:31 PM

I got to the ses.kfs file but when i open it up it looks like gibberish.

What did you use to open those files?

Keneth 11-29-2008 09:47 PM

WinRAR or a similar archiving software.

sours 11-29-2008 11:07 PM

wow, thanks very much.

Its all in code and a bit tough to dig through but everything is there :D

Keneth 11-29-2008 11:12 PM

Yeah, items.txt is in code since those are the base item definitions whereas eng_items.lng is the in-game text with some minor dynamic code. I prefer reading code but it might not make much sense to someone who has never seen any.

I am not a comp wiz so if anyone could list the specifics for the Pain Skull, and specially for the UPgrade of this item....
thanks in advance :)

+5 int +5 att, when the soul will be unbound. Lose 1%-3% random every battle so nearly 50 battles are required before you can "use it"

I think it depends on the strength of the army you are fighting. I had kept my Gremlin castle for this purpose but sometimes it didnt even go down 1% per fight.

Keneth 11-30-2008 05:13 PM

Nope, it's random, fighting either weak or overpowering mobs didn't make one bit of difference for me.

Lari 11-30-2008 06:22 PM

Object's fight, like uipgrades, doesn't count for the skull. Don't ask me why

Keneth 11-30-2008 07:05 PM

Because they don't count as actual battles. More precisely the skull drains your mana because that happens at the beginning of the battle when you're already inside but the percentage is reduced after the battle and there are no calls because there was no mob to begin with (item arenas are created on the spot).
